Panasonic G1

I have to put in a strong vote for the original Panasonic G1 - the beginning of the future, truly ground-breaking as the first interchangeable lens, live view, mirrorless (production) digital still camera, and by the way still an excellent camera (though I now have a G3 on order as a body upgrade).

G1 was the start of M4/3 which is also the first system to be solely based on mirrorless live view. All of the Panasonic & Olympus M4/3, Samsung NX, Sony NEX, Pentax Q, Nikon 1 digital and all future competitors owe their evolution to the G1. (Add Ricoh GXR though it's unique in other ways).

For Olympus aficionados, note that of course G1 and all M4/3 are derived from Olympus 4/3 Live-View-equipped designs.
