But the lens itself makes sense as nobody else has such telephotos that actually correspond to their their sensor size other than Oly--and the Panasonic 100-300. Consequently, all the other teles one needs for sports and wildlife are uselessly expensive and massively heavy--a perfect example is the Nikon 200-400, and their 500 and 600 primes when used on Nikon and Canon APS cameras. So much wasted glass for the smaller sensors.

So of course, the Samsung with a matched 300/2.8 is going to be heavy but nothing like the situation with the full-frame Canon and Nikon teles on APS sensors. I drool at the thought.
