adjusting for different stadium lighting conditions

Certainly this has been discussed before; Given a better lighting situation for evening sports (better stadium lights) would you:

increase shutter speed
lower your ISO
use a smaller aperture

I currently find myself at 1/400 f/2.8 and ISO 2000 most of the time.

I'm headed to a new stadium for a championship American football game and I'm hopefully for another full stop to play with.

Since every camera treats ISO differently I suspect that has the most to do with it. Probably see myself going to 1/500 f/2.8 and ISO 1250. I think that will help me improve IQ the most.

Thoughts?
