Cambridge in Autumn (2011) -- Pentax SV (1962!)

Hi everyone,

So here's the story: I arrived here in Cambridge having forgotten my DSLR back in Germany. With all the great motives around, I decided to find a way to take photos anyway -- and found an old Pentax SV in a second-hand shop, together with three lenses. This camera was built in 1962, and it still works perfectly!

Here's a photo of it:

Using the original clip-on meter, I just started shooting away, and here are the results.

(1): "Saying Good-Bye to Cambridge again" -- a famous Chinese poem regularly surrounded by hordes of tourists. It looks quite good in the autumnal evening light

(2): King's College

(3): "The Backs" -- The river Cam flows right through the colleges and is surrounded by some nice trees

(5): A "punter" shows some tourists the sights

All photos were taken using the 55mm/1.8 Super-Takumar and a Fuji Superia 200 film. The digital scans were produced by the shop.

It's really not too bad for a fifty year old camera, is it!

Looking forward to your responses,
Best regards,
