Canon did their homework - HS system/SX40
... I purchased the SX230 and SX40 recently and after comparisons to my Fuji F31fd I must say that somehow Canon has managed to (with a smaller sensor and more MP's) to produce less noisy and more detailed images than the 'old' highly reguarded Fuji processing/sensor. Also as a side note Canon has with the newer SX40 (maybe due to D5 processor/lens differences) to better it's own SX230. I am simply giving Canon credit that's due. ISO1600 of the SX40 seems more like the ISO400 of prior generations (SX10/20/30) - nice work by Canon IMO.
