The LCD gains up and down depending on light. I learned to never trust the LCD because of this feature. Simply use the LCD to compose and check focus only, dont worry much about grain etc that you may see. What you really need to do is use your live view historgram. The histogram will tell you how about the light hitting the sensor, in a simplistic way. Once you understand how that works, you can forget about the LCD and the way its displaying your images because you will know what is actually being captured. BTW this is the greatest feature of MFT in my opinion as you can see the histogram live and shoot quickly, with DLSR's you can only see the histogram after the fact, unless using live view (I don't own an DLSR but I have heard live view its painfully slow).
