Need Help Lighting a Chinese Tea Ceremony in a Hotel Room

I'm looking for some advice on how best to light a pre-wedding, Chinese Tea Ceremony in quite an ugly room (at a Hyatt Hotel), with my limited equipment.

The basic scenario is the bride and groom, probably on their knees, will be serving tea to their, seated, parents and grandparents. The action will probably take place in the one spot. The room looks like this:

I own two Canon 580EXII flashes, a 24" Lastolite softbox, a white reflector and a Stofen type diffuser. My lighting choices seem to be:

  • Flash bounced off the wall/roof. Generally my preferred option, but will be difficult with all the wooden walls.

  • ETTL flash in Softbox triggered by second 580EXII in master/slave mode via infra-red signal.

  • Bouncing an on-camera flash back into a white reflector (never tried this before)

  • Direct flash.

I'd greatly, greatly appreciate any opinions on the best way to do this with my exisiting gear.
