That's a good link. For group shots you want to chose a smaller aperture (a higher f-stop number) to put more things in focus at once.

You can still use auto-exposure, just consider switching your camera to aperture priority and choosing something like f/11 (instead of f/5.6.) Also, you can get sharper pictures when people are moving if you use a faster shutter speed.

You probably didn't need ISO 100 in that shot. I'd rather shoot at ISO 400 or 800, and get deeper DOF (higher f-stop number) and faster shutter speeds.
