Not Fuji but RIP Steve Jobs

I gave an opinion, and it wasn't meant to antagonize or flame bait the persons I responded to, which incidently wasn't you. So you should bugger off and mind your own business. I was responding to Buckshot and Sunshine. Didn't your mammy ever tell you it's bad manners to butt into other people's conversations?

Also, ask your mammy what a troll is. Because (surprise surprise) that is what you are with this flame baiting response.

"Trolls - Anyone deliberately antagonizing other forum users by posting 'flame bait' type messages is not welcome."
If you have even a penny in the bank you are also a hypocrite.
Well i'm not a hypocrite so. I have nothing in the bank. :-P

In the process? Ya...I guess people can wait.
so let's stick with Jobs who does not seem to have parted with any of his wealth

What you showed above are people giving fish to the hungry ... When the fish are gone that is it. It proves that one man with billions can not do it ... as I originally stated.
You originally stated and I quote "A single man even with billions in the bank can not feed everyone."

It only takes a single man with $130mill to feed 13 million starving people effected by the famine for one day. So once Steve has $130 mill...he can feed everyone. Ya...it's only for 1 day....but your original response never said anything about any time limits. You just said he cannot feed everyone....period.

In this case, I absolutely agree with Epo001. You posted your comment in a public forum for all to see, and it was beyond ridiculous. I even EDITED my post to you myself, because after I posted it, I said to myself, WHY?

Now you want to accuse this member of butting in, when butting into conversations around here is the norm. "Mammy" clearly never taught hundreds of members here.

So, don't even go there about butting in. Seriously, that is lame, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU BUTTED IN ALSO WITH THIS POST.

No, a troll is someone who posts the type of comments you did about Steve Jobs. Not only was it remarkably insensitive, but totally asinine to be honest. I had a whole comment that I had posted to you, but like I said, I deleted it since it was absolutely not going to get through to you. But, it is simply unbelievable that you could possibly associate world hunger problems with a wealthy man. Beyond irrational.

Maybe, just maybe, people should not have children if they are not financially capable of raising them, instead of blaming their problems on people who have come into wealth by working hard. Think?

Well, perhaps that is why you are so jealous of Mr. Jobs.

Here is one statement I would like to say to you.

A MAN SHOULD NEVER BE JUDGED ON WHAT HE DOES WITH HIS MONEY, HE SHOULD BE JUDGED ON WHAT HE DOES WHEN HE DOESN'T HAVE MONEY".

You think about that Stephen.
Crawl back under your rock.

Clearly you did I think, and I understand his concerns completely.

SIGH ....read it again. It seems that you suggest that withholding painkillers does not cause suffering.

" Mother Teresa has also been criticized for her view on suffering. She felt that suffering would bring people closer to Jesus.[81] Sanal Edamaruku, President of Rationalist International, criticised the failure to give painkillers , writing that in her Homes for the Dying, one could "hear the screams of people having maggots tweezered from their open wounds without pain relief. On principle , strong painkillers are even in hard cases NOT GIVEN . According to Mother Teresa's bizarre philosophy, it is 'the most beautiful gift for a person that he can participate in the sufferings of Christ'."[82]"

"The quality of care offered to terminally ill patients in the Homes for the Dying has been criticised in the medical press. The Lancet and the British Medical Journal reported the reuse of hypodermic needles, poor living conditions, including the use of cold baths for all patients, and an approach to illness and suffering that precluded the use of many elements of modern medical care, such as systematic diagnosis.[68]"

Really? There's about 13 million effected by famine as we speak in Africa. If you gave each one $10 a day, it would feed them daily.

Now that's a £130mill a day. Bill Gates has $56 billion. If he parted company with $55bn of that, he would keep 13 million people alive for over a year.....423 days to be more precise. And he still has a billion to "get him by".

Now take just ten more people on the top of forbes list with a combined total of $355bn....the would keep the 13 million people alive for a further 7 years!!

Imagine that...10 people could keep 13 million fellow humans alive for about 7 years.

I wonder how many of those 13 million will be dead in 7 years?

LOL just LOL, where you get such people from ? :D

1) taking from rich giving to poor regime already existed it was called communism it brought more famine and death than any other regime in whole history of human kind (Nazis are little sheep in comparison to Stalin,PolPot,Mao etc ) people still suffer from this sick ideas in Cuba and North Korea

2) if we feed people in Africa there will be even more of them to feed, despite 'hunger' population in Africa will explode till 2050 check the demography stats

The only solution is to limit population in Africa.Stop being hater, Jobs was great man he deserves respect you have no idea what you troll about.

...was he really? Ask the woman who's baby is on the brink of starving to death this very minute while this single man had billions in the bank. You might get a different story about his greatness and spirit.
Yeah, because Jobs couldn't have worked and created amazing technology to earn those billions. There will always be poor and hungry, should people stop working and creating out of liberal quilt for the worlds problems? I know, we can all quit our jobs, and join the Peace Core, or become Buddhists, and work to solve world hunger.

Aside from this, Jobs, like Gates, had donated plenty of money to charities that helped your starving baby above.

I´m from Argentina and don´t understand your sentence. What woman situation, what baby?

other hand if you mean about her millions, the rock group U2 from your country, Ireland, said "Thanks Steve Jobs for your very important funds contributions to the fight against AIDS over the world" in a Rock beneficial concert.

I' think Steve Jobs made a lot of private donations, off public. And never made a TV presentantion with hilarious affirmation como Bill Gates donating his entire fortune, a little year by year, at his own fundation! Thats a big joke!

It was a very unfortunate comment he made. The woman and baby are hypothetical situations he tried to interject as his means behind the matter. Again, it was a poor comment and one that I am sure he wishes he could take back.

He was a genius and an idol for the last 30 years ago.

And he influenced our digital culture, digital life and digital connected world in the most stronger and better form.
Thanks Steve, from Argentina!!!

Let the man RIP, don't resurrect him!

He may have changed or contributed a lot in mobile computing, that doesn't make him a great man but he deserves respect of course.

I wouldn't say he's a great man. He didn't cure any diseases, never brought peace to warring nations, did nothing to end world hunger or find ways to end poverty. I doubt he claimed to be one either.

What he did do is he made a big impact to the consumer electronics world. Not just the gadgets he introduced to the mainstream market, but animations as well (Pixar Animation Studio). I give him props for that. If only there's a Steve Jobs in the digital photography world.

He wouldn't hold a candle to the likes of Mother Theresa as in greatness or in spirit.
Stephen-I am with you in sentiment, but you need to take a much more thorough look at Mother Theresa.

Mother Theresa was no Mother Theresa.

The comment was not a 'very unfortunate' comment... When I first read the comment about a starving woman and baby, I knew what he was referring to... When Steve Jobs was young and screwing his friends financially, he impregnated his old high school girlfriend... he refused to step up and be responsible, and instead, for years he claimed he was sterile and refused paternity tests... while having three babies with his wife. For the first 18 years of his first daughter's life, Steve Jobs was a deadbeat dad, an invisible dad while quickly amassing millions of dollars. A deadbeat dad is by no means a "great man with great spirit".

I don't believe his comment about a woman and baby were 'hypothetical' nor do I feel this thread should have disintegrated into nonsense about world hunger. Once again, it seems to me that many forums members here misunderstood and immediately jumped to conclusions and seemed to respond in gang-like mentality.

Dead beat Dads are everywhere in this world. Just like there are dead beat Moms. With that said, this forum is NOT the place to vent ones anger over his wealth and how he handled himself. At least not in this forum that is . Perhaps the Off Topic forum, maybe, but not here.

I also think it is incredibly rude to post such vile and offensive comments when the man has passed and can not defend himself any longer. It is best to just remain quite and keep personal comments to oneself.

As I state in my signature area now. "Do not judge a man based on his wealth. Judge a Man base on how he acts when he is BROKE".

also,

"Never judge a Man by what he does with his wealth. Judge a Man by what he does when he is broke".

Just like when your favorite singer pass away. You're sad because they wouldn't be able to make good music anymore. No need to dig up their personal history to judge them or to mourn them.

Pretty fair comment to make.

It's natural for some to get sentimental in such moments (a death is never nice) but on reflection he will get a lot of respect from people and you can't argue with his vision, and tenacity in the industry.

I don't like Apple products but I'll bow my hat to a guy such as this he deserves that much at least. If he was a nice guy or not I cannot say and it probably doesn't matter much either way!
