Back in Oct 2007 Theresa K posted photos of her newborn Grandson in a Tonka truck http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat.asp?forum=1008&message=25212512 I had hoped to do something similar for my own son when he was born the next year but was unable to find a Tonka truck. We have since then managed to get my son a Tonka and I just recently jumped at the chance to give it a try when our cousin stopped by with her newborn son :)

One word: "absolutely CUTE!!"...okay, two.
This deserves to be in a frame, but you'll need lots of black ink. :)

I have 11"x14" prints of this one and some others I took the same day sitting here waiting to be delivered to the proud parents :) I was wanting to have them framed before I delivered them but had no luck finding frames here. Just hoping they can find some frames where they are as the one shop here that did have a good range of well priced frames now has next to nothing, and what they do have is rediculously priced for the quality, and nothing over 8x10 :(

That's very good...so so very cute. :) Now that you mention it, did Theresa have the kids in some kind of cups?

Oh a new baby how exciting, I'll keep my eye out for your pics :) I love photographing newborns....they can't run away lol I've had the pleasure of photographing a few babies over the past 18months, my own daughter included, when I get a chance to sort out some new albums on pbase I'll post some more.

I do recall someone having a giant teacup not sure who it was though. I seem to recall they got accused of photoshopping it on one of the POTD sites? I found some giant teacups for sale here in OZ just recently on a facebook store, very cute but out of my price range I'm affraid. I prefer to hunt down cheap cool looking vintage props, much easier on the hip pocket, especialy when your not getting paid for the end result ;)

So if it is a girl then I will have to use a Barbie Corvette!

Hi Suzi---a picture paints a thousand words and then some.

Sounds and certainly looks like you achieved an outcome you have been waiting for, for sometime. Patience is a virtue and yours has won the day--A beautiful image--congratulations.
Cheers,
John
