No, a troll is someone who posts the type of comments you did about Steve Jobs. Not only was it remarkably insensitive, but totally asinine to be honest. Really? There's about 13 million effected by famine as we speak in Africa. If you gave each one $10 a day, it would feed them daily.

Now that's a £130mill a day. Bill Gates has $56 billion. If he parted company with $55bn of that, he would keep 13 million people alive for over a year.....423 days to be more precise. And he still has a billion to "get him by".

Now take just ten more people on the top of forbes list with a combined total of $355bn....the would keep the 13 million people alive for a further 7 years!!

Imagine that...10 people could keep 13 million fellow humans alive for about 7 years.

I wonder how many of those 13 million will be dead in 7 years?

Yeah, because Jobs couldn't have worked and created amazing technology to earn those billions. There will always be poor and hungry, should people stop working and creating out of liberal quilt for the worlds problems? I wouldn't say he's a great man. He didn't cure any diseases, never brought peace to warring nations, did nothing to end world hunger or find ways to end poverty. I doubt he claimed to be one either.

What he did do is he made a big impact to the consumer electronics world. Not just the gadgets he introduced to the mainstream market, but animations as well (Pixar Animation Studio). I give him props for that. If only there's a Steve Jobs in the digital photography world.

The comment was not a 'very unfortunate' comment... When I first read the comment about a starving woman and baby, I knew what he was referring to... When Steve Jobs was young and screwing his friends financially, he impregnated his old high school girlfriend... he refused to step up and be responsible, and instead, for years he claimed he was sterile and refused paternity tests... while having three babies with his wife. For the first 18 years of his first daughter's life, Steve Jobs was a deadbeat dad, an invisible dad while quickly amassing millions of dollars. A deadbeat dad is by no means a "great man with great spirit".

I don't believe his comment about a woman and baby were 'hypothetical' nor do I feel this thread should have disintegrated into nonsense about world hunger. Once again, it seems to me that many forums members here misunderstood and immediately jumped to conclusions and seemed to respond in gang-like mentality.

Dead beat Dads are everywhere in this world. Just like there are dead beat Moms. With that said, this forum is NOT the place to vent ones anger over his wealth and how he handled himself. At least not in this forum that is . Perhaps the Off Topic forum, maybe, but not here.

I also think it is incredibly rude to post such vile and offensive comments when the man has passed and can not defend himself any longer. It is best to just remain quite and keep personal comments to oneself.

Pretty fair comment to make.

It's natural for some to get sentimental in such moments (a death is never nice) but on reflection he will get a lot of respect from people and you can't argue with his vision, and tenacity in the industry.

I don't like Apple products but I'll bow my hat to a guy such as this he deserves that much at least. If he was a nice guy or not I cannot say and it probably doesn't matter much either way!
