Why? Unless a new model offers a significant improvment/feature that you need , why waste your money.

My old DSLR was purchased in February 2005. It was replaced in October 2010. Why? Because it was showing serious signs of imminant failure, not because the camera was over 5years old and I just had to have the latest and greatest. Although I must say the new camera is an amazing beast compared to the old one and outperforms it in every way.

Also, on the clicking issue, I read yesterday, I think, that Sony has stated there will be a firmware update soon that will fix the clicking issue.
