My new D7000 - thanks!

A few weeks ago, I posted a question on purchasing a D7000 vs 60D ( ). I had many helpful answers not just here but also at other forums. I went ahead and purchased a D7000 and am not regretting at all!

Things that I liked:
1) I'm happily shooting at iso 1600 without worrying about noise.
2) The kit lens 18-105 is mighty sharp at many focal lengths!

3) Surprisingly, I'm using the quick retouch menu more often than I thought I would!
4) Pulling from shadows, even at iso 1600, is great!

Things I'm not liking:

1) Software... I don't seem to like both ViewNX and CaptureNX software interface. It's not well laid out. And there doesn't seem to be any free software for tethered shooting from a computer.
2) Operation of the 18-105 zoom when the hood is reversed.

3) Ergonomics: I never thought I'll say this but after handling an old D300 borrowed from a friend, I felt D7000's ergonomics are not top notch. Also, I often find my right hand little finger getting fatigued a bit.

Here are some photos... All pictures are resized in ViewNX 2 with quality='good balance'.

We call the thing applied as 'marudhaani' 'gorintaku'.

A couple of test shots at ISO 1600.

This one's shot at 1600 and shadow boosted a bit. Yes, it was 1/4s!

My little daughter unhappy with her mother force feeding some food! Shot with a friend's 50f1.8D. I'm not impressed by this lens.
