New York Faces with A55

I love shooting on the streets of New York – it’s filled with people minding their own business, well trained to be polite to the crowd just to the extent necessary, but otherwise being completely wrapped up in their own thoughts and ignorant of surroundings. It’s interesting to watch their fascination with cell phones (modern days smoking habit substitute – every moment of spare time is used to divert attention to this little device, like to an anchor of sanity and comfort, it seems…), brave but often seemingly tasteless choice of clothes, complete freedom of self-expression…

A55 is probably my first Sony camera, which opened an opportunity for me to do this type of shooting with rather high rate of success due to the speed and accuracy of focusing and noise-free sensor output. I can’t wait for the array of A77 cross focusing sensors and better ergonomics to continue, but I am in a waiting pattern regarding use of higher resolution sensor and very possible higher noise levels.

You can take a look at some of my recent pictures from these series here

I am also showing quite a few in the next post – warning for slow connection folks!

Thanks for looking!
