Re: Shutter Count by Canon Service Center?

Just returned from the Canon Repair Facility in Irvine, CA.

As they said on the phone, I was able to have the shutter count from both my 1D MKIIIs checked and received a printout for each camera with my name, camera model, serial number and shutter count.

There was no cost and I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes. Great service!

My original 1D MKIII, which I purchased new has 78,485 shutter counts and my second body purchased from another forum member only has 49,990 shutter counts.

I was somewhat surprised, as I was guessing a much higher amount.
