For Years

I've been pining for a compact to hit the market and have the following: a 2/3" sensor, a fast manual zoom lens, and a larger than average optical viewfinder than other compacts.

When the rumors of the x10 started coming about, I couldn't believe it was happening. Although I passed up on the x100 (and the very good camera it still is), I really doubt I'm going to be able too this time with the X10.

There is just too much in there on my wish list for me to pass up this time around. Add that it's a very bright lens to boot, and this should be the compact that sets new image quality standards for small sensors.

2/3" sensors were popular for quite a while, with new processing and advancements in chip design, I expect this one to do quite well.

Kudos to Fuji for that list of design decisions, remarkable.

Especially for not over-stuffing the sensor with 14-20mp!
