Re: Best setting for drop shadow

I seem to be absent minded these days. I use Photoshop CS5. There is a button at the bottom of the Layers panel marked FX. After clicking that button I get a choice of styles to add to the layer. I choose Drop Shadow and a dialogue box appears that has many settings for the shadow. I have a choice of angles, how big a spread, how dark I want the shadow, graineness ect. I was wondering if anyone knew what the best settings to give the image a popping out 3D effect. I hope I am being more clear.

Thank you.
