Found gf3 completely pocketable in jacket pocket, 9 ounces with tiny 14mm pancake. Great iq and great skin tones.

Look forward to e-pm1 with bounce, ibis. Not planning to use vf with it.

Usually leave x100 and e-pl2 at home, using gf3 when I go out.

Why not pick up an s95 if tiny is what you're looking for? It's about the size of a deck of cards and weighs nearly as much. Perfectly fine quality for snapshots and more.

Woke up, poured cup of coffee, played with EP3 menu and fondled metal body. Superior performance when coupled w/ 12/2.

Not looking forward.

Usually take toy film camera along w/ EP3 when I go out.

The point here is that the sensor in the GF3 is some 6 to 9 times larger than in the S95 with all the benefits of that. Yet the S95 and the GF3 fit in the same jacket pocket. The S95 does not fit in a pant's pocket, it is too large for the front really. It needs a jacket pocket. If worn on the belt, it has an advantage, but I don't like the look of a camera on the belt.

E-P3, E-PL2, weigh the jacket pocket to the point where the jacket cannot stay on a chair. They make the jacket fall off the chair in a restaurant. So they need to be held on the neck or in a stand alone case/purse.

So I like the invisibility of the GF3 with its pancake

that is the XZ-1 Oly, GF3 and S90

@ Photo Perzon... your response made me smile, not because I disagree with your conclusion , because I believe I understand where and how you use your camera.

The expression " is the cup half full or half empty" came to mind when I read about how you carry your camera.

I live in Southern Calif., and very rarely wear a jacket, so I purchased a Crumpler 2 Million Dollar camera bag to transport my camera. One of the main reasons I love this bag is because I don't like putting my wallet and keys in my pockets, and they fit nicely in the Crumpler. Therefore, my camera has provided me with a justification to carry a Man's Bag / camera bag, and I have the added benefit of always having my camera and a spare lens with me. The small Crumpler fits nicely under my left arm while seated in restaurants , nobody seems to really notice it.

I can fit my PL2 w/ 14-42mm & 40-150mm inside plus my wallet and keys. It's perfect for me.

Hope you enjoy your GF3.
Dave

On weekends the keys, cell phone and wallet fit nicely into cargo shorts. But during the week, w/ dress slacks or chinos your solution is a good one.

I hope you have time to take pictures with all these constant camera swappings.

E-PL2; 20mm f1.7, 14mm f2.5, 14-150mm f4-5.6

Have passed on the GF3 assuming the Oly will take better jpg's out of the camera due to better/newer sensor.
Hope the wait is worth it.
I am looking to replace my LX3 with a similar size m43 camera, hence the E-PM1

No, not kidding. If you've followed photo perzon's posts you would know he goes through a new camera every few weeks. The photos he posts from them aren't at the point yet where a compact or even a cellphone would he a limiting factor, like most folks here.

These forums encourage people to ignore their needs and abilities and overbuy. A new camera won't ad half as much to your photography as learning to use what you've got.

To that point, here's an example of "no bokeh" shot from an s90
