Unlike in the Hasselblad days, there are many ways to shoot a wedding. Just because photographers wish to work quickly and use zooms doesn't necessarily make them inferior to those who shot weddings years ago with a single Hasselblad and primes. Many of us have moved on.

Personally I love primes and keep an 85 f/1.4 permanently fixed to one body and use it for about half of the shots. The other body has a 2.8 zoom. It's a compromise, but one which suits me.
