Agree! But unfortunately Canon 50/1.2L has some issue as I knew from other review. Anyway, 35mm/L is a great lens and choice.

Those could be nice but when you're shooting formal portraits..this is the wrong lens..in my opinion anyway..Others may like it..and I have used it for some fun stuff and of course as a wide to medium focal length..but lets just say I won't be photographing my bride and groom portraits with the 35L.

I would say for your portraits..you really have to experiment..I would probably shoot with aiming from a higher angle
