The ONLY way to know with 100% certainty is to calibrate your monitor with a capable HARDWARE based calibrations system - that being said the iMacs of recent years are pretty good out of the box...
I submit them for contests and for stock and is what I see will be what those receiving them will see as far as color accuracy?
This is the IMPOSSIBLE part because even if you are using a 100% accurately calibrated system you have NO GUARANTEE the viewer on the other end has a similarly accurate system so, there is no way to tell if what he is seeing is what is actually there.......
Long and Short = = do the best you can ( perhaps buy a hardware calibration system if it is in your budget ) and don't worry too much about it because all you can really control / worry about is your own system...
