NEX-5 video problems

I am having problems with most of my handheld videos recording some simple motion such as panning or a child riding a scooter.

At first I thought it was my unsteady hand, and while that is part of the problem, the video seems to be jittery and unsmooth even beyond that.

I have compared with similar footage shot on a Sony CX7 and the CX7 shoots significantly smoother video.

Please take a look at this clip shot with the 18-55mm lens.

Look in particular at the white bars and the white holding nuts, while in motion they jitter, jump around and they are ghosted.

The video looks identical in the original on my PC and on a PS3. I have also loaded it in Vegas, and every frame looks great, I could print a picture from any one of them.

I would appreciate your opinions. Thank you!
