ISO vs. digital gain in Lightroom

I wanted to see the difference between using ISO 3200, and using ISO 200 and then adding 4 stops with the "Exposure" slider in Lightroom. I expected the resulting images to be similar, but they are not, either in brightness or color. Can anyone explain why?

Photo taken at ISO 3200

Photo taken at ISO 200, same aperture and shutter speed

ISO 200 photo with the Lightroom "Exposure" slider at 4; WB adjusted to match the ISO 3200 photo

These photos were taken with an Olympus E-620. A Fuji X100 produced similar results.

My cat, who likes to sprawl on my keyboard, gets the credit for anything I write that makes sense.
