645 is not comparable to FF cameras (even the 4 years old, like what the current Canon and Nikon FF cameras are). They are cheaper, lighter, smaller, have better AF system, are faster, and have a large lens selection. There is NO comparison.

And they're very much useless when it comes to what the medium format can do. Indeed, there is NO comparison

There is plenty of comparison, and if you want proof, just go to any major scenic national park such as yosemite or yellowstone, and watch how many people are lugging around big FF canikons, using them for a job that's clearly better suited to the 645D.

645D is more rugged and better suited for landscape photography compared for Canon/Nikon FFs...it just so happened that many can't afford the 645D. And the fact that most of those photogs also use their FFs in other type of photography and were already heavily invested to Canon/Nikon FFs, getting another system like MF for one type of work is not worth investing. i would bet that if money is not an issue to them, those landscape photographers you mentioned that uses Canon/Nikon FFs would buy a 645D for landscape work and giant billboard advertising photography.
