Just Dreaming - Micro Four-Thirds Fixed Lens?

Considering the following:

  • Olympus and Panasonic adding their own touches to the m43 sensor

  • The popularity of the Fuji X100

  • The small (but fanatical) fanbase behind the Sigma DP1 and DP2

  • The rave reviews the Olympus XZ-1 has been receiving

  • The popularity of the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 lens

  • The number of people in this forum drooling over the upcoming Olympus lenses

  • The number of photographers who only ever worked with one or two focal lengths

I would think there would be a decent market for a series of m43 based fixed (non-interchangeable) lens compacts:

  • Could be either Olympus or Panasonic (or Fuji or some other member of the m43 alliance)

  • Uses one of the existing m43 sensors (bonus points if it uses a custom tailored micro-lens overlay on the sensor similar to the Fuji X100)

  • Choice of four (?) lens options - 1) very wideangle, 2) classic 35mm, 3) classic "fast-50", and 4) fast portrait ( 5) digital Holga? )

  • But try to keep the lens as fast as possible (nothing slower than f/2.8? f/2.0?)

  • Simple and compact (tiny) body, simple controls (aperture, speed, ISO), IBIS, but no touchscreen, no video, no scene modes, no panorama, no HDR

  • Low pricepoint (competive with E-PL or E-PM series) (no Leica or Sigma pricing please )

Simple, affordable, classic

I know it's not likely to happen (unless Leica decides to spearhead it and then offer them at $2K each), but it would be nice, wouldn't it?
