Strange to read how many people who don't believe that you get substancially better picture results with D7000 compared to D300/S. The D7000 AF is good enough for good results of flight shots with big tele lenses.

However even the old 12MP D300s is diffraction limited at f13.

I don't think most people are arguing the D7000 is a bad camera, just if it is worth buying to replace the D300(s), you have the glass that may make it worth it but I think more shutter time or better glass would help other people more on this thread.
