Not necessarily, and your statement begs the question, have you seen the difference? You are conflating pixels with resolution, but the AA filter can change the resolution numbers. Indeed, take the AA filter off the D300 and you have the same theoretical resolution as the D7000 has (assuming the D7000 AA filter is the same relative strength as the D300 AA filter), so there is your increased resolution in a D300 body right there.
