Which shutter sound do you use?

I don't always keep my eye up to the viewfinder the whole time

Sometimes I like to be able to shoot from "the hip" so to speak or just really quickly bring the camera to my eye and lower the camera as quick as possible.

I prefer an audible signal over looking for the finder to flash, and certainly don't to wait for the image to display.

As I said, to each his own, thats why you can turn it off and on depending on what you like.

I like an audible confirmation

I don't understand the need for a shutter sound to get confirmation that the picture has been shot:

  • with IMAGE DISPLAY to off, the finder briefly blinks

  • with IMAGE DISPLAY to on, one sees the actual picture after the shot

So that in both cases it is clear whether the picture has been shot.
