Pop over to Waterton Canada

This is on the east side of the park and easy to get to for a day trip. There is a 600 ft vertical hike right at the visitor center on the right as you get into town. This shot is a many pic Canon D30 pano I shot there early in this century

It's a great view up there and a short hike to get it. The hotel in the left is the famous Prince of Wales hotel which is great for a lunch or diner. There is also a boat that takes you south (right side view in the pano) to the USA where you get out and hike then come back.

Glacier National Park is a joint park between Canada and the US and Waterton is the main village on the Canadian side. The easy crossing if you come at night though closes pretty early (i dunno 9 or 10 - check ahead - we had to do a 200 mile detour one year).
