Does anyone know if it is possible to have the lens extension/retraction function on the 602 disabled (kept in the extended position) once a lens tube is fitted?

I suggested Fuji might be persuaded to put this as a switched
option in a firmware revision but everybody thought I was.....

ga-ga!..
You are, but I still think it would be a great idea (for my 6900 too).

Note that when the lens extends the volume inside the camera becomes larger, thus dust air come into the camera body.

Disabling the lens extension is a wonderful idea, because this minimizes the chance that dusted air goes into your camera (and ccd sensor) etc.

I suspect that fuji had it as part of the adapter yes/no switch at one time but took it off just before release.........

I only say that because that fuction virtually does nothing and that would seem a good place to have it!.......
