From my research the 24 2.8 is much better than the 28. I haven't had mine long but am so far happy with it, but by no means blown away.

For landscape it looks like the 24/2.8 is better for corner sharpness. For low light, f/1.8 is more than twice as fast.

I have borrowed a friends 35 f2 for the past week and have fallen in love with it. So am very tempted to get the 35 1.4. Anyone use theirs as a landscape lens, maybe by use of panoramas?

For landscape, the 35/2 will do just as well as the L. You will be stopped down to f/5.6 or smaller. At f/5.6 the 35L has a slight advantage in the corners. At f/8 it is a wash. The 35L is all about very low light and silent, reliable autofocus.
