You think 'beginners' are worried about DOF? By the time they are, they're no longer beginners.

Eaxactly. It's just a crop factor. The eauivalence theory has confused the heck of the bigginers. By begginer I think a lot of posters express opinins in this thread seem to fit that description.

And it really isn't that difficult. If you can properly explain the influence of crop factor on focal length, it is only a very small step to also explain them on the influence on the aperture setting and thus DoF.
