noticable difference between F1.8 and F2.8? (35mm lens)

I'm the first to admit i've got to learn a lot about photography and als my A55.

I've set my Tamron a lot between 50mm and 35mm and I get the best results of inside portraits at 35mm. With APS-C that comes close to the more commonly used 50mm lens. With 35mm I've got more options of getting the right composition.

But still, it's hard to let someone alse take a picture with the A55. The Auto modes are not good for indoor photography. And with flash the outcome is often to bright (not yet, but almost overexposed)

About the flashes...You are right. Therefor i'm willing to buy the HVL-F43AM sony flash.
