Shallow DoF and the temptation for FF
I recently had to send in my 17-55/2.8 for service (communication error with camera). So, the mean time, I was using my sigma 30/1.4. Boy, this is really a fun lens. The large aperture is so much fun and adds so much to an image.
Because of this shallow DoF, I have really been contemplating the jump to FF.
I've read many a threads on the difference between the 7D and 5DII, and I'm not going into that here. The largest and most pronounced difference seems to be in DoF.
Anyways, with that, I'll post a couple images that really got me thinking about the jump:
One day at the beach...
One night at the bar...
Sorry the images are on the small side. I think something happened when I uploaded them. Oh well, I think it get's my point across.
Thanks for taking the the time to look.
