Is it a Lens issue or Camera issue

Re: D7000 & rumors = you're kidding right?

My 85/1.4G works perfectly when set to "Single-AF" (C-S-M -- select S, single).
It very often jumps jittery-style between two points when f/1.4 in Continuous.

You have to understand that f/1.4 on an 85mm is extremely narrow.

The Continuous AF is not able to handle this in all circumstances (especially hand held, because your body moves forward and backwards by a mm, so it tries to refocus as it should -- Continuously).

I have noticed that the 85/1.4G has a tendency to "BLUR" the shot due to re-focusing during Continuous. This blurring is, again, due to the narrow depth of field. Moving even a centimeter in focus point will blur the image.

Therefore, Single focus AF is best for it to snap into place.

Strongly recommended AF-C only at f/2.8 and above.
