D80 to D7000 or 300 F4
Good morning. I have been thinking of getting a 300 f4 lens for some time. I have the 70-300 VRII, that I use for birds/wildlife (what I like to shoot most) but it can be a tad soft at times.
I also tried shooting my daughter's (night)soccer games this year and got an awful lot of blurry shots even on the tripod. So, my thought was that the 300 F4 lens would make more difference for wildlife, but the D7000 (high ISO)would do better with the evening shots like soccer. I could buy both, but try to keep the equipment buys to one big one a year. Does anyone have the D80 and switched to D7000 and see a big jump in quality of the pictures--especially birds/wildlife or use the 300F4 and switched from the zoom? Thank you for your consideration.
