To clone or not to clone?

Not great photos but they pose a possible editing challenge to me. Shows how things can change in only 15 seconds. First photo taken: 13:08:10; second photo taken 13:08:25.

I prefer the first.

However, I was wondering how the second would look if I was able to clone out the boat "under" the man. In other words, only keep the boat on the right. I'm not very good at cloning though so wondering if it's worth the effort.

Thanks!
