No it won't

You are saying that APS-C sensor equipped cameras will fade away because the sensor performace of the G3 is superior to existing APS-C sensors.

This may be the case at this immediate moment (or it may not). However the larger sensor will always have the better performance potential. Assuming that you are correct about current APS-C sensors v the new G3 sensor, what will you say when the next gen APS-C sensors are brought out and outperform the G3 sensor?

Technology is always evolving and improving and the larger sensor will always have the edge given a similar level of development.
