G3 heralds the end of APS-C DSLRs

The fundamental things apply

I gree that Panasonic did a nice job with the G3 jpeg engine, which is great for MFT fans -- myself included. But this is just an incremental step and I don't think that the other sensor formats will run in place. Larger sensors are fundamentally less challenging to deal with with respect to high ISO noise, simply as a matter of physics. I am sure that they will regain their advantage in the coming months, if indeed they have lost it.

Regardless, I'm quite satisified with my GH2 and don't see anything significantly better that I would care to haul around with me.
