I preordered it in april with ship to local store here in upstae NY and it was charged to my CC thru paypal. And this was the email i got this morning!!!
Subject line reads...Your item is backordered

The item listed below is not yet available for pickup. We will notify you as soon as the item becomes available.

If you would like to discuss other possibilities for fulfilling your order, please call us at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289). Please have your order number handy.

Calling BB does no good to check status. They only know what the status is as listed on the site for your order! They have no clue!!!

you people are lucky atleast the camera has started surfacing in your countries. In India it is still not listed on sony website. Really feeling cut up.
 
Ok... so here's a question...

I finally ordered the HX100V at BB ship to store. The email came in that it should be available between 5/19 and 5/27, so I canceled my order with SonyStyle which was back ordered till 6/6, and heck it was $50 cheaper! I do however have a coupon for BB for 10% off an in store purchase that is good until 5/31. If they do start showing up on store shelves and there is on on the shelf when I get to the store, can I simply purchase the one in store and use the 10% off and then simply refuse the ship to store unit? Didn't know if there was some silly re-stock fee if you didn't pick up something that was ship-to-store?

Actually, I'd be willing to bet that by the time they show up on the store shelves, they will be the full $449 and the $399 was online only. Either way I'm only dickering over $50.

Placed an amazon order for a second battery and charger just so I can have a nice and fully charged batter when this little gem finally does arrive!

Still not available in Colorado...but I do not want to wait any longer! I will have it shipped to Delaware and have it shipped to me!
 
I just placed my order for one in Charleston SC. It is supposed to be delivered to the store on 5/20.

I can't wait for it to get here.
 
Just tried to place an order from BB as they showed 5/19 as pick up date this morning but this evening its now back to no longer available at any of the BB's in my area in Nor Cal and won't let me place an order. Guess I will have to keep checking for when its available again.
 
So I got the email today saying the camera is in. of course I drove straight over.

No problems. Now I can't wait to charge it up and have some fun this weekend.

I hope every else's orders come through too
 
Delivered to the store this afternoon 5/12. They did not charge the credit card until I picked it up. Full total price with sales tax (there was no shipping) was $429.00.

No pictures to share yet, it was dusk by the time I got home from work and got it.
 
I just got an email from BB saying that it will not make the store where I was supposed to pick it up. They want me to call them. I think we have a problem with BB making their dates. My guess is more will be getting this email from BB.

Just ordered one from Best Buy, says I can pick up in store next Thursday, we'll see. This was after BB saying cam not available for the last few weeks. I am in Tri state New york / NJ / Conn area. (Specifically NJ)
 
Got my email this morning. Your item is ready for pickup! It also came a day earlier because their original date for earliest pickup was 5/14.

jola71, thank you again my friend! Never though I'd be able to use the camera this weekend.
 
Order last Sunday from Best Buy.Com to Ship to Central NJ store. Expected Date of 5/17.

Called each day, new expected pick up was 5/19. (Even as of this morning).

Just got the e-mail that it is in the store and can be picked up!
