Sigma 17-50 f2.8 or Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5 as general zoom lens?

Hi everyone,

I am currrently using a Canon 60D with
Canon EF-S 18-135
Sigma 30 1.4
Canon EF 50 1.8

Most of the photos I take are streets, buildings, events, and family photos.

I am looking to replace my kit lens with a general zoom lens with a wider aperture that can handle low light situations like weddings where I don't want to use my flash and interfere with the wedding photographer/dim lights for the dance floor. I generally pair up one of the prime lens with the kit lens but there are times when I need to travel light and can only bring 1 lens with me. I was originally considering the ef-s 17-55 or 15-85 but for a cheaper price I can go with either the sigma 17-50 or 17-70. I don't use the longer focal lengths on my current kit lens at all and I plan to get the canon ef 85 1.8 later on.

Which of the 2 sigma lenses would be a better choice as a replacement for my kit lens?

Thanks for any advice.
