Panos before digital, Skye before the bridge
Making panos before digital was a bit hit and miss and there is no exif data to help. Inspired by RichardDK's recent scans of Scotland here's one which must date from 1992 as that was the year that construction of the bridge to Skye started. You can just see the rigs preparing the caissons for the bridge pillars on the left hand side. The full scale version shows them fairly clearly but is a bit too big (55Mpx image). I have a version here if you want to see the bigger picture - http://www.pbase.com/steephill/west_highland
Skye was showing its usual weather - rain - so you will just have to imagine the mountains behind this view.
