Sony F77 test shots

As promised, I went back to the camera store today (armed with my own battery and MS) and played around with the new F77, which I understand will not be released in the States. It's a fun little camera, but one mystifying thing I encountered was that it has something called a SMart Zoom, which cannot be used for full resolution pictures, at least as far as I could tell. In order to zoom, I had to decrease the resolution; at the lowest resolution of 640x480, the zoom could be fully activated.

Other than that, I liked using it. Unlike the Konika KD-500Z, the flash was hardly ever activated, although I did force it several times just to see how it worked. I don't think I would buy it, however, since I use zoom quite a bit, and having to reduce the resolution to be able to do that would not work for me. Maybe there's some way around it, but we sure couldn't find it.
