First time RAW with TL500- EX1, very impressed
I went with the dog to local park today and since I figured out yesterday how to convert samsung raw to DNG , I shot raw +jpg.
I'm very impressed by the output . At least at base ( 80) or iso 100. JPG is "OK" , still very good if you coming from compacts, if you com from dslr like me , not really... but definitely head above regular P&S cameras.
Raw really surprised me, not as much as of the IQ ,but how much can one "push" the photo. Each raw file has 22 MB. Each DNG converted has about 12. My D700 14 bit uncompressed raw had 25 mb.
That is a sign that the camera captures A LOT of data.
I tried for best bokeh, 70mm 2,4. I blew the highlights a little in the background ,knowing they can be pulled back some from raw.
Slight PP ... This lens is sharp. Really surprised... It is almost as sharp as nikon pro zooms. ( if you dont let jpg processing kill your sharpness with noise and artifacts...)
