For tethered shooting I use OlyViewer2 with a modded plugin to bring back camera control. Works very well on the E-5.

That made me very curious, much more so because he didn’t yet answer my question about how this worked.

So a “little” google search gave me the answer and it’s working so best share it with you all.

All thanks and Kudos go to Wolgang_r from the German site\

My efforts are just the translation and some screenshots.

Make sure you have at least a Trail version of Studio2:

(from this post: )

Install the Trail version in parallel (i.o.w. just install in c:\Program Files\Olympus\Olympus Studio 2) to the Olympus Viewer 2 install.

Then copy the file cc.cfnp from c:\Progam Files\Olympus\Olympus Viewer2\cplugins to c:\Progam Files\Olympus\Olympus Viewer2\plugins

the file cc.cfnp:

location of sub directories:

New action button:

It's working

When updating Viewer 2 you have to copy cc.cfnp again between folders.
Don’t uninstall Studio 2 as that will uninstall the USB drivers.

You can delete the directory Studio 2 if you are short of disk space but DON’T UNSTALL Studio 2
