Infrared with Nikon D90?
I would like to try infrared photography. Heading to the Canadian rockies and would love to shoot some IR landscapes. I am well aware of the fact that the D90 has an IR filter. My question is this: If I put a HoyaR72 filter on a lens and set a long exposure will I get fairly nice IR pics? I am okay with even 10-20 second exposures because I will be doing landscsapes with a tripod. Is the D90 IR filter so good that I will get bad IR shots? Or, with long exposure, will I do fine?
I am not sure I want to go through the expense of modifying a camera, but I have a good number of Nikon lenses,so I prefer to stick with Nikon. If the D90 will not work, which Nikon DSLRs will work well with a HoyaR72 filter on a lens and give good IR results?
