The earthquake will certainly through a wrench in what is happening with Nikon, Canon, and Sony; but I would be very surprised if there are any significant delays with Nikon's DSLR business plan for this year. The D4 and D800 and XXX mirrorless cameras were all in the pipeline before the earthquake. Nikon competes on a world stage and can't give ground to the other companies, especially when the D3 and D700 are much older models.

The D3s and D700 still seem to be selling well. Typically, it is several months after an announcement before new Nikon DSLRs become readily available. Since they probably weren't going to announce them until at least August or September, I doubt they have warehouses of them already made.

The new EVIL (or whatever it is) camera, that Nikon was just about to announce, could be a different story. They might already have many ready to ship upon announcement. Also, they might be made in a Nikon plant in another area.
