I have an old OM1n with a 50mm f1.4 and a 75-150 f4. Is it really worth getting a DSLR when an equally fast 50mm prime by itself costs over $300?

If you do want to reuse the 50mm lens, it might be worth it to get a Sony mirrorless camera as the 1.5x crop (and generally, better sensor) allows you to use more of the projected image.

Hmmm... That's a very good point indeed. Notwithstanding that a very reasonable 100mm equivalent --(at f/1.4 !!)-- could still be cropped out of the APS sensor without any great loss of quality.. IMO.

The micro four thirds cameras have their own advantages, but for adapted MF glass, the Sony NEX system seems to make the most sense... and the price isn't bad either.

Agree... although I'd be keener if they had EV compensation dial.
