Is 18-55mm good enough or should I get 18-105 or another 55-105mm??

Hello All,

I'm going on cruise next week and bought a DLSR Nikon D3100 (my first DSLR :)) on my friend's recommendation.

I bought a kit on amazon, D3100 with 18-55mm lens.

I'm mostly interested in taking potrait and landscape pictures on my cruise, like I want to cover the beautiful sea, sunset, ship etc.. Is this the right lens for me? Or do I have to sell it off and get another lens?

Now comes my second question, If I have to buy another lens (telescopic), do you recommend getting 18-105mm (or 18-120mm) - one single lens vs buy 55-105/120mm (as I already have 18-55mm)? What's pros and cons of having two vs one lens to cover 18 to 105mm focal length?

PS: I'm going on cruise next week so I need to decide soon and purchase lens, if I have to. So please help.
