AF comparison between 500D/50D/60D/7D?

Clarification; spot AF, not spot metering

They may all have spot metering, but only the 7D has spot AF . Spot AF reduces the area of the AF point so that it focuses more precisely on what you aim it at. It's a two-edged sword, however, because although it often gives you images where the focus is just where you want it, it can be harder to achieve focus with it. To my knowledge, no other Canon APS-C camera has this feature; certainly the Rebels do not.
